Oh, no! Are they fighting on Saturday?? You mean we have to sit through this crap fight before watching the other ones? Please put it on the non-televised prelims!

Padley is the WBO #7 contender, WBC #12, and IBF #10. That's a much better fight rankings-wise than we could have expected for a 4 day short notice. Kid Austin wasn't any more likely to beat Shakur.

I mean it's a mismatch but it's 4 days notice and the guy is ranked with the wbc and he probably knows he ain't on that level but it's a big payday and a world title shot against one of the best boxers in the sport right now so you gotta take opportunities and it's one he probably wouldn't get again. Let it open the show and it's all good. Disappointing tho that Schofield pulled out because I was looking forward to that fight

Pretty much my exact thoughts. I'll probably do all of my food prep for the day if this one opens the show.

Sometimes they should just scratch a fight if all they can put in is a subsitute like this. This will be ugly, no offense to Josh, but no...

I was also looking forward to seeing Schofield...I think he would have lasted the distance against Shak and learned alot.

I'm from Yorkshire and I wish Josh Padley all the best. He has guts and will bring all of his fighting spirit.

What this means is that Josh Padley was given a last minute payday he couldn't refuse and a return opportunity to fight again after the ass kicking he'lll receive on Saturday so he has a chance to comeback another day and get 2 nice offers for the sacrifice.
