Dana White On The Future of Boxing in 2021

Interesting take from White on Boxing and why it's not as popular as it used to be.

What are your thoughts? Did boxing cannibalize itself with multi-million payouts? I can help but think he's right. Who would risk future million contracts by taking risky fights or just to entertain fans?

He has some good points but even when he is right he still comes off as a ****head.

yes as a monopoly, the UFC can stack the sport in favor of the company and the fans over the fighters. Where as boxers, the trend has been moving towards the fighters advantage to the detriment of the fans. He is right when he says if you can get these massive paydays why would the fighters want to be in hard fights and that they may avoid taking as many risks. He still acts like his chit doesnt stink but he refuses to make one off fights with the UFC and the few remaining MMA brands out there. You never got Fedor in his prime vs UFC fighters. You wont get Tenshin vs UFC fighters now. that is the exact same chit that bob arum and haymond are doing with everything in house.

He acts as if UFC operates the way it does solely for the fans but it is there to make money, it operates the way it does for the benefit of the UFC corporation and as a side effect there are some benefits for fans compared to boxing.

UFC has had a lot of recent bone breaks in the last few years as everyone is pointing out. I wouldnt be surprised at all if it has something to do with whatever the current PEDs of choice are.

Gee. Dana White trashes his chief competition. Who would've thought? Same old story. Boxing is where it is because of a gang of corrupt 'commissions' who sponge off fighters and promoters and dump dozens of phony title belts on the public. Only die-hards follow the sport now. The media ignores it.

Zuffa sure isn't saving boxing any time soon, or even getting off the ground. Especially with a trash name like that.

UFC should make fights with EliteXC and Bellator as well as other MMA organizations. That is what boxing promoters do.

Let's see an MMA card with UFC, EliteXC, Bellator fighters in one card like we see GBP and Matchroom on DAZN. Tyson Fury (Top Rank/ESPN) vs Deontay Wilder (PBC/Fox/Showtime) isn't something you would see in MMA. Unless the fighters leave their organization and join UFC.

Dana White is a greedy liar who has been put on blast and exposed by a Youtuber.

EliteXC hasn't existed for about 13 years.

Nothing but a bitter old fool.
And no wonder why when his fighters are getting sparked out left and right by Disney kids and Youtubers

He's so bitter. UFC will be dead once Jake Paul goes through them all. 1. Boxers, 2. YouTubers, 3. UFC Fighters. Nash out.

The one thing I give him credit for was he made MMA "cool" and its something that really draws in the casuals. Seriously even random white hoes I follow on IG for spank material will post up buying the UFC PPV's or whatever.

Boxing has its issues, SERIOUS issues to do with the running of the sport, but I'll never be a fan of MMA it just isn't for me, I gain zero entertainment from the ground game, and there's various other things about it that I don't enjoy,.

The other thing with MMA is its more about technique than it is talent, this is why that Khabib guy retired at like 30 years old because he knows if you stick around in that sport someone comes up with new techniques and takes you out, which is why all their best fighters only stay on top for a handful of fights before losing.

You don't get that with boxing which has a much higher bar for entry and is as much about talent as it is skill.
