Fighters who didnt belive in doing lots of sparring

Nigel Benn in his early stage of his career had a minimal sparring regime. He was very public about it , he felt not being ****** up in gym wars helped confidence and kept him fresh. That all changed after his first loss to Michael Watson, then he learned his lesson and realised to learn the skills and craft of boxing you have to spar.

yeah he was being trained by lynch at the time and that was his rule

There's rumours that Greb got the better of Dempsey in 2 sparring sessions and beat him up which is why Dempsey's management kept him away from Greb.
