Muhammad Ali vs. Chuck Wepner (the 15th round)

man, Ali punished him. The only thing I don't get is, why most sources say that Wepner went the full distance, when he was clearly TKOed. So much for being the "Real Rocky"...lol.

seriously though, Wepner was tough as nails in this fight, and did ok, at least he wasn't beaten as bad as he was against Liston.

After seeing this fight it took Sylvester Stallone three days to write the rough draft for Rocky. Good ****ing movie.

Word on the street is that Wepner might sue because of the Rocky movies. That's just what I hear.

Stallone and Wepner settled the lawsuit, it's been dropped.

Why did he want to sue Stallone in the first place?

Because he knew he'd get money out of it.

because Wepner felt the whole Rocky series was based too much on his life, and Stallone promised him things that never happened, so that's why he wanted to sue him.

What a great KO; you don't see that clip too often, if ever, in Muhammad Ali highlight reels..
