Spanish super middleweight Jose Luis Navarro Jnr added the IBO International crown to the EBU Silver title he already holds by beating Italian Matteo Gubinelli by a unanimous decision on Saturday night at Mad Fight Stadium in San Sebastian de los Reyes, Spain. Navarro Jnr promoted by Rimer Boxe, won on scores of 117-111, 117-112 and 116-112.
Navarro Jnr, 15-2 (10 KOs), is ranked number four by the EBU and will almost certainly be named mandatory challenger and get the winner of the Callum Simpson-Ivan Zucco fight on June 7 in Barnsley, England for the now vacant EBU title.
If that shouldn't materialize, Navarro would likely face Damian Biacho (18-1, 5 KOs) as mandatory challenger in an all-Spanish matchup.
