Former light heavyweight titleholder Jean Pascal wants to be in position to win another strap on Saturday, despite being 42 years old.

Pascal, now fighting at cruiserweight, weighed in at 197.2lbs, while his opponent, Michal Cieslak, tipped the scales a bit heavier at 199.0lbs, for their 12-round fight at Place Bell in Laval, Quebec, Canada. The fight is for the interim WBC cruiserweight title; the outright title is held by Badou Jack.

Pascal, 37-7-1 (21 KOs), the hometown boxer, is fighting for the second time at cruiserweight. He debuted in the division in September, stopping previously unbeaten Terry Osias. Pascal made the leap to cruiserweight after a March 2023 unanimous decision loss to Michael Eifert at light heavyweight, where he fought for most of his career.

Cieslak, 27-2 (21 KOs), of Radom, Poland, is on a six-fight knockout streak since losing a unanimous decision to then-WBO cruiserweight titleholder Lawrence Okolie in 2022. During this run, he has knocked out former title contender Enrico Koelling and veteran Felix Valera. So far, Cieslak, 36, has seen his title hopes dashed in two fights, with his other loss coming to Ilunga Junior Makabu in 2020 in a WBC title fight.

The card will stream on TrillerTV.
