The clock is ticking until the first bell in Manchester after Jack Catterall and Harlem Eubank both made weight ahead of their fight at the Manchester Arena tomorrow.

They both weighed in at 146.5lbs.

Catterall, 30-2 (13 KOs) and aged 32, is coming in off a loss to Arnold Barboza having previously-reeled off victories over Jorge Linares, Josh Taylor and Regis Prograis. The talented southpaw, from nearby Chorley, will hope to parlay victory over Brighton’s Eubank into another big fight at 147lbs, where this fight takes place, or back at 140lbs.

For 31-year-old Eubank, who is 21-0 (9 KOs), it is the biggest event of his career to date and he says he has never been more ready.

The bill also sees the return of two-time world champion Joe Cordina, from Cardiff in Wales, the return of Australia’s Skye Nicholson following her first defeat, the debut of Matchroom’s promising heavyweight Leo Atang, another bout for the 8-0 William Crolla – brother of former world lightweight champion Anthony – and former Team GB Olympian Pat Brown, who will hope to move to 3-0.

Tempers flared between Aqib Fiaz and Alex Murphy, and Fiaz grabbed Murphy by the throat before the lightweights were separated.
