What you're describing are the ills of growing up, its not right, but its also not exclusive to any set of people, it exists for everyone.
For example, if I got invited to an all white, all latino, or all black get-together, with people I hadn't met yet, there was always a level of disparity and hostility. I never felt truly welcome, I always sensed that they viewed me differently.
And then when I get invited to an all filipino gettogether here, everyone is so warm and open and accepting and relaxed, they treat me like I belong.. like why wouldn't I be there.
The same thing when I meet a girl's father. In america usually I get treated with great disdain.
When I meet a girl's father here, they treat me like i'm their son. Sometimes they're trying to win me over instead of me winning them over.
The differences are so great, after growing up as the only asian to now, where I'm treated like the prodigal son with my own people.

If Oxford, Cambridge universities and banks like Barclays and HSBC in the UK could accept being complicit in slavery - what makes you think it’s different in the US where millions of ****** were kept?

I have to add though that black and latino people are probably less racist than white people lol...
I felt more welcome and comfortable hanging out with them than with white people, and was met with less condescension and and hostility, although there were black and latino people who singled me out, it wasn't as strong as hanging out with all white people.. they definitely biewed me as an outsider off the bat.
I had one black girlfriend in college whose parents I met and he seemed pretty happy with me lol. He was really cool. He also probably liked the fact that I came from money lolll
Girl's moms usually are fine, they usually like me and are supportive, regardless of the race. It was always their dads that was the issue lol.Last edited by llll; 06-06-2020, 10:24 AM.

If it wasn’t for slavery many major Companies like AIG wouldn’t even exist.
And yes they ráped children, women, and men. They did the same thing to Natives. Judging by your idiotic response I’m sure that’s something you’re proud of Fury.Last edited by Amir Imam; 06-06-2020, 01:44 PM.

Here’s a few nuggets for you. Tobacco, Sugar, Cotton, Rice. At one point in America slave owners in just one part of Mississippi accounted for the most Millionaires in USA. That revenue was then passed down to their heirs.

I don’t understand why it’s such a problem that Black Americans help build America just as much as white Americans. We’re all Americans so what’s the problem? Why do some want all the credit?

The argument I am addressing is that the whole USA was dependent on slave labor which is false, the Union banned slavery and economically were better off than the Confederacy because they moved toward industry and away from farming.
And secondly the problem becomes when general statements are made like Black people built America. Black people helped build America, but they weren't the only ones, majority of the building happened post slavery in the early 20th century with the waves of new immigrants arriving.
Regardless, we should recognize black peoples contribution to this country, afterall they're more American than most Americans when we are talking about heritage and ancestry.
