I think it’s prosperity disease - we’ve had it so good for so long, that people have to invent things to get bent out of shape about. You could be born in America and never do a single day’s work in your entire life, and still live better and more comfortable than 90% of people on planet Earth. If we don’t have some kind of drastic reordering in this society, I have no doubt we will descend into some kind of civil war. What that looks like is anyone’s guess.
