Firstly before you take the time to read this thread I just want to say I hope you are doing well.
Right so, an Interesting theory floating around, one you think would be open-and-shut to say Yes or No about, yet here we are with no real definitive answer and plenty of people on both sides arguing about it.
First, Politifact link. They claim it's completely untrue. However, my concern here is everything they use to discredit this is *ALL* from the WHO.
- They found no credible report to back the claim up. They did not define what they consider credible, however.
- The WHO states the % of people getting polio from the polio vaccine is like 1 in 2.7million (so almost never)
... and really, all I could find were left-biased HufPo style news outlets that go after this as false but I couldn't find anything really credible to support it, either.
I haven't really looked into this, I am not a CT guy for the most part, I get most of my news from more moderate and more journalistically honorable sources than Fox News, CNN, Politifact, HuffPo, etc, so I couldn't tell you.
I do think that if there was some truth here, it really should be more obvious or apparent. On the other hand, a lot of the people going after this simpy discredited the 'right wing conspiracy' outlets suggesting it - much the same way they did years back when it was floating around the idea that ***** was spying on Trump, something we now know is almost assuredly truth. So, I don't trust anyone here.
Still, bold claims need bold proof. I couldn't find anything to support this at all and just because biased sources are against something doesn't mean it's therefor true, either. This story should have some meat on those bones, you would think. I found nothing.
Has anyone looked more into this?
