I agree Ghost. With maybe a 5% exception...and that would be proof that she either had some incredible compensating mechanisms for what would be a chronic lack of physical strength needed...Even martial arts is not enough because as a cop, as with a bouncer (I was a bouncer) you sometimes have to just have physical strength to stay in the conflict.

Its so easy for people to make this issue about discrimination...but what if one is a wife with a kid, and a husband who is a cop? who would want to tell her that her husband's safety was being jeopordized for political issues?
If the day ever comes where I actually need a cop for protection or to diffuse an extremely volatile and violent situation I would not feel confident with a female cop being the difference in whether I come out on the winning end of the situation. Sure some of them are as good at the day to day business of being a cop; traffic violations or accidents, noise complaints, petty theft, etc. some are even better at preventing a situation from escalating, but I’ve worked alongside my share of female military members who were all of 5’ tall and could not handle their end of the lumberjack saw (Dirty Harry reference). They could barely pass their annual PT, lift more than 40 pounds and would be a serious liability in a situation where someone needed to be restrained or they were needed for back up in a physical confrontation. Seen it happen during a protest that escalated outside a military installation.

There are always exceptions to the rule, but by and large I think all cops should meet higher physical standards.

Here is another one who became a liability for herself and her partners because of her f***ing hair!

That is the bottom line. That and it is so easy for those not involved in the situation to tell others what to abide by. Unless one has held a position where strength comes into play, they have no business telling people in the field what opinion to hold.

I just watched this and hate to admit it but it has me laughing. Her welps... Im sorry I don't want to laugh. I will say this: the other untrained boobs make the woman look less a liability as they are all a liability. When his wrist was being cuffed, a basic Sankyo wrist lock would have made him let go, or broke his arm...why not affect a proper choke, instead of grabbing him like an imbecile.

Why don't they train cops properly in some areas to restrain people.... you can never depend on a weapon in these situations.

To be fair, there are a LOT of fat ass male cops out there that have no business doing police duty. All cops should meet fit requirements and martial arts training, plus training on how to deal with potential violent criminals. Police departments are so desperate for recruits they take just about anyone who can walk and chew gum at the same time.

That was so very bad. Everyone involved ought to be pulled from the street till they know what they did wrong. The first cop set the tone for the whole encounter by being an abrasive, in your face, ******. His partner did nothing but yell a lot and get in the way a lot.

Not everyone is cut out for this

I agree whole heartedly. Too many fat, out of shape cops on the job. There needs to be annual PT tests and weigh standards.

Omg don’t get me started about women in the military. The army is full of women setting the bar low. It’s crazy.

However let’s be honest. That’s why they are less respected.

You find me a department that is taking anybody off the street to be a cop. ! Now corrections I definitely agree.

Now I see one NYPD in that photo. Which is one of the hardest departments to get to. For one they are protected by the police union and another thing cops don’t have yearly physicals like the army does. So you can get in while you’re in shape then just get fat and lazy.
