those are so nasty... i never got into eating that as a kid.. i see that they have different flavors now so maybe it might be better. but i remember the regular red licorice was nasty! these were the only left over candies from halloween.

finally someone mentioned these. my favorite was fruit punch followed by strawberry and then blue. I never liked lemonade but the pink one wasn't bad. green and purple were cool, never was a fan of tootsie rolls though

the candy store next to school sold them for a penny each (i don't know how she made money like this), and I'd buy 100 for a buck, it was great

skittles or mentose. Also for pure appearance Jolly ranchers are nice.

I actually got to taste test them before they sold them at stores.

There used to be a company that did marketing and they had an office at the mall and they'd stop random people and ask if they used certain products and if they'd test out new products of that type. They'd give you a supply and youd use the product for a set period of time, then come to their offices and take a survey. They'd cut you a small check too.

They gave me like a 2 or 3 week supply iirc. I was only supposed to eat a few a day (unless I found them nasty). I got to test the strawberry ones. I ate them up quite quickly and even said so on the survey.

forgot about mentos, never really thought about them since i always remembered that mentos mint commercial, but you're right those were good too, kind of like that orange tic tac

gummy bears are in a class all in its own. and yes black forest are the best (but there are some at the mexican shopping marts that are just as good if not better)

some of the flavors of hi chew are good, wasn't a big fan of some of the others though
