And some wonder why they get sheety service.

I never asked you to tip more.

You'll love it when servers minimum wage goes up.

How are you liking the fast food prices now that the employees are making a slight living.

I bet that you'd rather just drop a couple bucks rather than paying the now extraordinary prices,

especially if you are feeding a family.

    You cheap funk!!!..........................Rockin'

Give your best product and hope to get tipped. They're lucky they didn't lose you as a customer.
TBF, if the pay is so shltty, why do they stay doing it for so long ?
Exactly. It's backwards thinking. I have to tip in hopes of getting proper service? Good service comes first and then the tip follows.

But for people who are or were in the service industry as waiters/bartenders etc, I can understand why they would think that way.

Im not that cheap. I often give this girl at Starbucks $5 tip on a $4 Americano mobile order because she always remembers to give me a side of ice in a separate cup. I really appreciate something like that and she deserves it.

I've been seeing that shlt too. Why tf would I tip for them doing there job? The cook is the one that does it and doesn't get tipped. Why should I tip for picking up my food and they doing the bare minimum of putting it in a container? If even that

Some places I pick up my order they give you the receipt so you can sign it and tip off of it. I never do, makes no sense.

Tipping for good service is legit.
I still say good service is what people pay for initially by being customers.
It's up to the employers to pay their employees better.

Also, if a job doesn't pay well, find a better one or get 2.

you were tryna make us feel sorry! "they only get paid $2", etc...

if that's an issue, then go find another job! jesus!

i dont usually do fast foods, so i can careless about the prices and even if they raised the price, so what? if you want it, buy it, if it's too much, go somewhere else. life aint gotta be this difficult man.

                  My point exactly.

If your apt is too small, go find a bigger apt.
If taking public trans is a bltch, get yourself a car
If your job isn't paying you a livable wage, find a better job or get 2.

I don't get this undeserved sympathy dumbasses get.
Spend YEARS doing shlt that doesn't pay well......willingly no less.

So yeah, you're supposed to tip - be it dining at a table or getting the food to go.

No ones going to force you, though - you're just not going to be welcomed or liked by that establishment, and they're not going to care if your food is cold or missing things. It's up to you.
RED- I wonder if the owner will care if he misses out on making a sell because 1 of his employees did not care about the food being correct.

We have millions of restaurants, at every corner but not every restaurant has millions of clients at any given day.

I tip and I don't tip, depends on my mood that day.

It's more about the principle. Why would I pay extra to pick up my own food? lol if they delivered, that's different. But Im not going to pay somebody extra to do their job.

There are countless food spots everywhere so if an establishment want to play petty and leave out a sauce or two just because I didnt tip, I will simply take my business elsewhere. Petty ass businesses do not last anyway.

Those guy who remodels your home or fixes your rooftop under the scorching sun deserve tip yet most of the time, home owners do not tip.

Any monkey can put a food order together for take out and those workers aint getting nothing from me.
                      I agree with this statement.

                      fun fact:
I was in Mexico 1 time visiting friends and they tip the trash men. To me it was weird, but the trucks don't have that lifting arm on the side, which lifts the garbage cans like it's customary in the US. Most home owners will tip depending on the amount of bag the trash men have to carry to their dumpster trucks. Some obviously don't tip anything. Not sure how the government collects the fee to provide this service to the home owners.
