To be totally honest, to date he's been just a guy who's been promotionally hyped that has been carefully matched against guys who not even remotely had a chance of beating him. He needs to show a lot more in the ring, such as smooth boxing ability, good foot work, being able to throw combinations, change angles and better defense. He needs to step up the competition, fight REAL challenges and win convincingly before he can mention or compare himself with HOF boxers such as Cotto, or Trinidad. The jury is still out on this kid!
People lose perspective don't they? lol. Lets take a talented fighter like Fernando Vargas... Dude was broughtb along perfectly. They fed him competition that gradually got better, he seemed to develop more skills. And even with a great program when he tried to make the jump, it just did not work. And its even worse when we go lower division. Juan Ma, seemed to be very talented, and was knockin them down until they just got him in against a guy who was resilant.

My point is that your age, you are a bit older than I, but even at 60, I see all the talented guys who have fallen down and settled for being decent fighters. Morrison was another. People would not recognize Tommy Morrison coming up...ditto for Razor Ruddock. Both guys were very good. But at the end of the day, even being talented does not guarantee success! Its a hard road to hoe.

He's wrong .The disappointment isn't because he didn't knock the guy out . The disappointment was because of the way he fought. He showed less skills now as a professional than he did as a 12 year old amateur. He fought like he forgot how to box , just following the guy around the ring trying to land one slow motion right hand at a time and hoping that the guy would fall.
